Spirometry and Respiratory mechanics

The Pocket-Spiro® USB100 is a pneumotachometer device of high precision, portable, reliable, robust, handy, compact and easy to use.

Enhenced Spirometry software.

The PDI spirometry software allows you to perform in real time a complete spirometry with:

• PRE-POST bronchodilatator comparison

• Bronchial challenge test with FEV1 ( and Rocc *) dose-response curve.

• Spirometry interpretation with quality control and lung age estimation.

The software includes also a series of paediatric incentive animations.

 Slow spirometry with determination of static volumes: 

    Vital Capacity (VC), IN and Expiratory Reserve Volume (IRV, ERV), Inspiratory Capacity (IC) and Tidal Volume (VT)., Inspiratory Time (Ti), Total Time , (Ttot),Ti/Ttot etc…

            Forced spirometry

User friendly and easy “Report Designer”

As far as report documentation is concerned, you will be supported by the new MEC PFT Report Server program, which provides you several handy report tools on the basis on which you can clearly structure and tailor each reporting to your individual needs and integrate your headings and hospital or practice logos. 

MEC PFT report can be evaluated on screen before printed on paper and/or forwarded by email.

The reports may be designed directly in Microsoft Word and saved as Word documents or as Acrobat PDF format. Of course the results may be exported to medical files (HIS) with protocols like XML, TXT, HL7 etc..

Automatic Lung Function Interpretation software “ALFI”

ALFI is a very powerful automatic lung function interpretation software. This module integrated in the PDI software help you to improve the lung function interpretation. It automatically assesses measurements according to selected criteria and normal values from a broad library of authors (ECCS/ZAP, NHANES III, Knudson, etc.)

Guidelines GINA and GOLD classifications are integrated for desease classification.

The ALFI software is yearly updated and may be downloaded from our website but of course you can also use your own predicted equations and edit the standard interpretation software algorithms making this piece of software a very useful tool for research applications.

Optional respiratory mechanics

The high precision solid state mouth pressure transducer and the optional modules allow the measurement of lung mechanics and muscles strengths:

• MIP / MEP (maximal inspiratory and expiratory pressures at the mouth)

• Sniff test (nasal inspiratory pressure)

• P.1

• Rocc (Airway resistance by occlusion)

• Static and dynamic compliance

…and other important measurements necessary to differentiate difficult respiratory disorders.
